American Photobooth



I love those old photobooth pictures! Such interesting, funny and touching portraits have been taken since its invention. My favorite is this one of my mom and dad, which I recently discovered in a box of books. It fell out of a paperback copy of "The Little Prince".
A new book is out on the history of the American Photobooth, by Näkki Goranin (W. W. Norton, 2008) . I can't wait to read it.

Wow! Love these! Some of those people are so interesting! I am an old photo fiend. I could easily get rat packish about it...

like the new look! Spiffy! I just realized that is your own pic - thought you were quoting squareamerica. I see the resemblance! I have only a couple happy happy pics of me and hub because I'm the family photog.
