What was your favorite toy?

I had a few...but always have had fond memories of my Chatty Kathy doll with the little plastic records that slid into her side...or so I thought. After a little internet snooping, it turns out I actually had a "Charmin' Chatty" doll, Kathy's younger cousin.

If we're talking dolls, I loved My Friend Mandy to bits. I still visit her on ebay. I *thought* I wanted a life-size Barbie but they were thin, hollow plastic and the limbs on my friends' LSB's always crumpled if you fell on them or anything. And I thought Chrissy with the growing hair was going to be awesome but she just ended up being an awesomely painful weapon. The hair just grew in a dreadlock-y tube at the top of her head. We held on to her hair, swung away, and battered each other. Well, some of us did.

Chrissy dolls were slightly after my time, but I thought they were awesome. I also really liked "little kittles" do you remember them? they were tiny and came in little plastic bottles and smelled perfumey.

Like these?

Kiddleland

They were from Avon. Perfumy. I used to like those tiny dolls that were trapped in plastic bubbles on purses & stuff. Wonder if those were Avon, too?

Also, I liked anything tiny. Like this.
I'm sure that is a psychological marker for something...

I didn't know they were from Avon. I was able to buy them from a toy store. I also loved tiny plastic toys like those tiny babies and baby bottles from "the dime store" as my grandma called it.
